  • SATURDAY, August 9
  • SATURDAY, September 13
  • SATURDAY, October 11

Location:
AHA's Office - 4300 Hempstead Turnpike, Bethpage, NY 11714

Support meetings for young adults (18 years old and over) and adults with Asperger's Syndrome/High Functioning Autism. Parents are welcome to attend ( one or two meetings), as are clinicians, other family members, friends, or professionals. However, the format and subject material are geared towards individuals with AS/HFA only.

Our mission is threefold:

  1. To stop individuals from feeling bad about themselves because of what they have
  2. To become a Community.
  3. To maximize our gains and minimize our losses. More specifically, that through education, we identify and develop our strengths while at the same time, reduce the potential damage that occurs when our ways clash with the neurotypical world.

Other goals are to address the various issues of social skills, recreation, employment, future living situations, etc. and to work towards creating effective programs in these areas.

Time:

Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
